Python is a powerful dynamic programming language that lets you work rapidly and integrate your systems more effectively. It is platform-independent and runs on Windows, Linux/Unix, and Mac OS X, and has been ported to the Java and .NET virtual machines. As a result, it is used in a wide variety of application systems. Python is free to use, even for commercial products, because of its Open Source Initiative (OSI)-approved license.
